Frequently asked questions
What is UniHooks?
UniHooks tracks every Uniswap hook across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Unichain, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. For each hook it shows what it does in plain English, how safe it looks and which pools use it. It also lets you launch your token’s pool with its own rules, without writing code.
What is a Uniswap hook?
A small contract attached to a Uniswap pool when the pool is created. Uniswap calls it on every swap and every liquidity change, so it can add rules to that pool: a sell tax, a cap on buys at launch, a liquidity lock, a fee that rises when the price swings, and so on. A pool’s hook can never be swapped for another one.
Which chains do you cover?
Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Unichain, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. New pools on each show up within about a minute.
Is UniHooks free?
Yes. Browsing is free and creating a pool costs only your network’s gas. UniHooks takes 0.10% of each swap in pools created with the shared UniHooks hook.
Do I need to write code?
No. You tick the rules you want, set the numbers and sign one transaction. If you want your own hook contract, or behaviour that isn’t one of the 15 rules, describe it in plain words and AI writes it into your own hook, which you deploy from your wallet.
Can I change the rules later?
No. Rules are locked in when the pool is created and there is no admin, including you. That is what makes them trustworthy to buyers, so pick numbers you’re happy with.
Do you ever hold my tokens?
No. You sign every transaction in your own wallet, and your tokens go straight from your wallet into Uniswap. UniHooks never has access to them.
Can my pool be traded in the Uniswap app?
Your pool works on Uniswap from the moment it has liquidity. Uniswap’s own app only routes trades through hooks that change swaps after Uniswap has reviewed and allowlisted them, and the UniHooks hook has been submitted for that. Each hook page on UniHooks says whether it’s tradeable in Uniswap’s app right now.
Has the hook been audited?
Not by an outside firm yet. The UniHooks hook is built on OpenZeppelin’s audited hook library and Uniswap’s own code, every rule is tested against a real copy of Uniswap, and the source code is public on each chain’s block explorer so anyone can check it.
What does a hook’s grade mean?
Every hook gets an automated grade from A (looks safe) to D (high risk), based on things anyone can check on-chain: whether it’s in Uniswap’s hook registry, whether its code is published, whether someone can change it, and whether it can take tokens from swaps. It is not an audit, and it says nothing about whether a token is a good investment.
Where does the data come from?
Straight from each blockchain, plus Uniswap’s public hook registry and published contract code. Nothing is entered by hand, and a free API gives developers the same data.
Are you part of Uniswap?
No. UniHooks is an independent explorer, not affiliated with Uniswap Labs.
